Step by Step

What happens at a first chiropractic visit?

1

Brief paperwork

You fill in a short form about you and your problem. You can save time by filling it in at home.

Download the new patient paperwork (PDF)

2

A talk with the doctor

You and the doctor talk about where it hurts, how long it has hurt and what you have tried.

3

History and exam

The doctor asks more questions and does hands-on tests to see which areas are affected and how much.

4

X-rays

An X-ray is a picture of your bones. The doctor takes X-rays to find out if your problem can be helped and to plan your care.

5

Home care

Before you leave, you get simple instructions, such as ice or heat, positions to avoid, and stretches.

6

Your next visit

Your follow-up is usually 1 to 2 days later. The doctor goes over the full findings and your care options.
